The Salomon Ultra Pirineu organizing team is very aware of the concerns and uncertainties our participants are facing due to the ongoing situation caused by COVID-19.
In an effort to address potential issues, we have prepared a list of Frequently Asked Questions that will be updated as the situation evolves.
Salomon Ultra Pirineu postponed to 2021
We trusted we’d be able to make it. We hoped that the global situation and health conditions would have improved enough to celebrate the Salomon Ultra Pirineu in October. We have been working in close contact with the health authorities and monitoring relevant news in order to ensure that we would comply with two essential requirements for the event:
The recent news about the evolution of the pandemic globally and in particular in our country indicate that we won’t be able to meet any of these requirements. For this reason, and also in response to the worries and uncertainties affecting our participants, we have decided to advance the press release that was planned for 15 July and to inform today that we have decided to postpone the Salomon Ultra Pirineu to 2021.
We would have liked to meet you again, but now our priority is to take care of ourselves, families and friends, and most especially of our elderly. Mountains will still be there waiting for us to go back to them. And we are sure that we’ll live a very special Salomon Ultra Pirineu in 2021.
All the participants registered to any of the 2020 Salomon Ultra Pirineu events will be automatically transferred to the 2021 edition without need of any further proceeding.
If you want to renounce to your race bib, you will get 100% refund of your registration fee. You can do this by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org before July 31st 2020.
NO draw will be done for the 94km race of the 2021 edition. The currently registered participants will be automatically transferred to the 2021 edition unless requested otherwise. Participants renouncing to their race bib will be substituted for candidates in the waiting list, that will re-open soon.
We are currently updating the information about the races of the 2021 edition and it may take a while. As soon as we have updated information we’ll release it through our usual channels.
The FAQ section will get periodically updated on the web of the event (www.ultrapirineu.com).
Also, we’ll be happy to address any questions or take any suggestions at email@example.com. We have always appreciated your feedback, but now we need it more than ever.
