Due to the forecast of a high risk of thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon, the Salomon Ultra Pirineu organisers have decided to activate the bad-weather contingency plan.
- The alternative route will be activated.
- Runners will follow the original route to the Cortals aid station (km 36). From there, they will be diverted via Coll de Pendís to the Sant Jordi mountain hut and will descend through the Empedrats area to Aula Natura. They will then climb via Coll de l’Escriga to Turbians, where there will be an aid station, before beginning the final descent to the finish in Bagà. This modified section will combine parts of the Marató and Mitja routes.
- The new distance will be approximately 60 km, with 3,900 m of elevation gain.
